About Soyons actifs
The PCPA brand is dedicated to reducing inequalities in access to rights. Since its inception in 2012, PCPA has been actively working towards fostering democracy, freedom, and dignity in the new Tunisia. One of the key challenges in this transition is tackling social, economic, and territorial inequalities. To address this, PCPA has adopted a multi-stakeholder network approach, comprising 93 Tunisian and French entities, including associations, unions, cooperatives, local authorities, and public entities.
The program's ambition is multi-faceted, including social experimentation with marginalized citizens, support for civil society organizations, and the establishment of new cooperative methods of collaboration in the Mediterranean region. PCPA is built on the experience of its pilot phase from 2012 to 2014, and extensive cooperation between Tunisia and France has led to a long-term strategy for effectively reducing inequalities in access to rights.
PCPA's vision for 2025 entails strengthening the capacities of Tunisian associations, enhancing recognition of civil society actors at local and national levels, promoting reciprocity and shared experiences among French members, and disseminating a collaborative, multi-stakeholder approach to other themes.
The program's principles include democracy, co-responsibility, reciprocity, respect for diversity, participatory approach, transparency, gender equality, and independence.
PCPA's strategy revolves around developing social innovation projects in education, socio-professional integration, and social and solidarity economy. It also aims to empower civil society to contribute to territorial democratization and increase its influence on public policies.
The brand's history includes the operational phase of the PCPA program from 2015 to 2025, spanning multiple partnerships, territorial initiatives, and capacity-building sessions. Additionally, the brand underwent a construction phase from 2014 to 2015, defining its long-term vision and thematic strategies, while the pilot phase from 2012 to 2014 focused on identifying issues, stakeholders, and partnerships.
PCPA follows an associative governance model, promoting transparency and ensuring the meaningful participation of its members. The Assembly, consisting of all program members, makes major decisions, while the Steering Committee guides and implements the program's overall strategy.
By actively engaging diverse stakeholders and working towards reducing inequalities, PCPA aims to create a more inclusive and equitable society in Tunisia and beyond.
