ACTRIS
@actris.eu
ACTRIS is the European Research Infrastructure for the observation of Aerosol, Clouds, and Trace gases. ACTRIS is composed of observing stations, exploratory platforms, instrument calibration centres, and a data centre. ACTRIS serves a vast community of users working on atmospheric research, climate and Earth system and air quality models, satellite retrievals, weather analysis and forecast systems by offering high quality data and research infrastructure services for atmospheric aerosols, clouds, and trace gases.

About ACTRIS
ACTRIS, the pan-European research infrastructure, is dedicated to providing high-quality data and information on short-lived atmospheric constituents and the processes that drive their variability. With a focus on observations, ACTRIS plays a crucial role in shaping atmospheric process understanding and predictions. Without reliable observational data, atmospheric forecasts would be highly unreliable.
ACTRIS offers a wide range of services to meet scientific, technological, and innovation-oriented needs. Access to data and services, open calls, and a Science and User Access Forum are some of the resources available. The infrastructure comprises National and Central Facilities, including observatory and exploratory platforms, as well as a Data Centre and Head Office.
ACTRIS aids in reducing uncertainties in emission sources, understanding deposition processes, and quantifying potential impacts on ecosystems. It also contributes to the understanding of global biogeochemical interactions, climate-ecosystem feedback loops, and air pollutant sources that affect human health. With its comprehensive observations, ACTRIS complements Earth Observations from space, supporting the development of cutting-edge science and addressing the grand environmental challenges faced by society
