ACUbirth

ACUbirth is the practice of Johanne Siegumfeldt, an acupuncturist, midwife and educator based in Brabrand near Aarhus, Denmark. The practice combines Eastern approaches to health with Western perspectives, offering Japanese and traditional Chinese acupuncture using gentle techniques intended to be suitable for a range of needs. Its specialities include menstrual health, fertility, pregnancy, birth preparation, postpartum care, breastfeeding, menopause, children’s treatment and emotional wellbeing.

Services include private midwife consultations, pregnancy support, breastfeeding guidance at home, birth preparation and acupuncture to support birth readiness. Treatments may also address concerns such as pregnancy-related nausea, pelvic pain, stress, anxiety, sleep difficulties and fear of childbirth. For children, ACUbirth offers Shonishin, a brief, needle-free Japanese treatment guided by the child’s responses, with parents involved in care at home. The practice also provides support around fertility, including for people pursuing natural conception or medical fertility treatment.

Alongside individual services, ACUbirth runs live and online courses and workshops for midwives, acupuncturists, birth professionals, pregnant people and others interested in women’s health. Appointments can be booked online.
