ACV Floripa

ACV Floripa, or Associação Caminhos para a Vida, is a nonprofit association in Florianópolis, Brazil, dedicated to supporting young adults and adults with intellectual and multiple disabilities, as well as autism spectrum disorder. Founded in response to families’ concerns about who would care for their children in the future, ACV works to promote greater independence and provide long-term support.

Its work is organized around three connected services: a Community Center, which offers weekday educational activities; a Hospitality program, where participants can practise skills for independent living; and residential housing, intended to provide a home when parents or guardians can no longer offer care. The educational program includes physical, learning, psychomotor, music and movement, emotional, and leisure activities.

ACV invites individuals and businesses to support its mission through recurring or one-time donations, sponsorship, and a program that matches donors with a participant. Its thrift shop also raises funds through clothing sales and donations. Based in the Trindade neighborhood, the association shares administrative and financial information and holds public-benefit and social-assistance credentials.
