About Australian Dental Council
The Australian Dental Council (ADC) is the independent accreditation authority for the Australian dental professions. They work to protect the health and safety of the public by ensuring dental practitioners meet the high standards required in Australia. The ADC offers a comprehensive dental practitioner assessment process for overseas qualified dental practitioners, tailored to different practitioner types.
This process includes initial assessments, written examinations, and practical examinations. In addition to practitioner assessments, the ADC is also responsible for accrediting dentistry education and training programs, ensuring that only suitably trained and qualified health practitioners can register and practice in Australia.
