About Ade Dehye
Ade Dehye is a brand that is committed to crafting exquisite and sustainable fashion inspired by the African diaspora. With a deep appreciation for our culture and heritage, we strive to support local West African communities by partnering with skilled craftsmen to create garments of the finest quality, all while celebrating Africa's unique identity. Founded by Akintunde Ahmad, a passionate Oakland native, journalist, filmmaker, and entrepreneur, Ade Dehye aims to foster community while showcasing West African textiles and patterns through stylish pieces.
Our fabrics are carefully sourced, with our hand-woven Fugu fabric hailing from the upper western region of Ghana, giving it a denim-like texture and appearance. Additionally, our Bogolanfini fabric, also known as mudcloth, is meticulously hand-spun and hand-dyed in Mali. At Ade Dehye, we offer a range of products, including trenches, puffers, shirts, sweaters, overshirts, bombers, bottoms, and accessories.
Each item is crafted with attention to detail and a dedication to ethical practices. Join us in celebrating the rich cultural heritage of Africa while indulging in fashion that speaks to your individuality
