Algueira is a family-owned business that started in 1980 by Fernando and his wife Ana. They began with a few vineyards, a small winery, and a lot of hard work ahead. In 1998, they created the Algueira brand and built a new winery to face the new challenges they intended to take on. Over the years, Fernando and Ana's company has grown into an acclaimed winery that helped put Ribeira Sacra on the map in both the wine industry and wine tourism in Galicia.
