Adelaide Plains

Adelaide Plains Bloodstock is a boutique Thoroughbred nursery based in Reeves Plain, South Australia, about 45 minutes from Adelaide’s central business district. With more than 30 years of industry experience, the business is led by general manager Ben, who turned to breeding after holding a trainer’s licence and studying under established South Australian trainers. Its approach centres on proven bloodlines, careful genetic planning, tailored nutrition and hands-on care, giving foals a considered foundation from birth through to the sales ring.

Adelaide Plains Bloodstock offers breeding services including foaling down, stallion covers, yearling sales preparation and access to on-farm and sale-bred yearlings. It also provides racing opportunities, with yearlings available for purchase through sales or directly on farm, alongside racehorse syndication options. The business aims to support the renewal of South Australia’s breeding industry and welcomes clients seeking a horse to race, breeding support, sales preparation or a stallion to complement their program. Its work brings breeding and racing services together, with an emphasis on developing horses for performance and ability.
