ADFRaD

Africa-Diaspora Forum for Research and Development e. V. (ADFRaD) is an organization founded by people seeking to address development gaps through intercultural engagement, knowledge exchange, education and cooperation.

Its work connects perspectives from Africa and Europe, with a focus on global solidarity, human rights, equality and sustainable development. ADFRaD’s objectives include supporting education and research, promoting equal rights for women and men, strengthening democratic governance and justice, encouraging tolerance across cultures, addressing climate change and climate justice, and helping mitigate illegal migration. The organization delivers scientific events, research projects, networking activities, educational workshops, information-sharing and awareness campaigns, mentoring and counselling programs.

It also offers consultancy services and collaborates with individuals, organizations, agencies and groups that share its values and goals. ADFRaD has collaborated with Initiative Black and White e. V.

in Germany on a project addressing causes of flight in Ghana, sponsored by the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ). Its ongoing work includes a human-rights project focused on cultural practices and empowering vulnerable groups to become agents of change through social inclusion
