ADIVASE

A.DI.VA.SE. (Associazione Diabetici Valdichiana Senese) is a volunteer organization serving people affected by diabetes and the wider community in the Valdichiana Senese area of Tuscany. Founded in 2005, it is registered with Italy’s National Register of the Third Sector. The association promotes diabetes awareness, prevention, and informed care through public events, educational activities, and collaboration with local organizations and health professionals.

Its activities include free blood glucose and blood pressure checks at community events, metabolic screening, and information on preventing chronic metabolic diseases. ADI.VA.SE. also organizes learning sessions on healthy, balanced eating, with contributions from a qualified dietitian, and takes part in initiatives addressing nutrition and prevention. The association marks World Diabetes Day with public events and offers information on relevant legislation, useful resources, and local services through its website. It is based at the Montepulciano hospital, where members are available on Wednesday mornings. Supported by members and donations, ADI.VA.SE. works to strengthen community understanding of diabetes and encourage healthier lifestyles across the region.
