Admiss Onlus

ADMISS, short for Amico Della Missione, is a Sardinian nonprofit association founded in Cagliari in 2008 to support a missionary priest setting out for Brazil. It has since worked alongside communities it has come to know in Brazil, Kenya, Tanzania, India and Chad. The organisation promotes sustainable, inclusive development based on participation, solidarity, shared knowledge and respect for others.

ADMISS supports people and communities facing hardship by responding to practical needs and working toward lasting improvements. Its initiatives include schools, cooperatives and healthcare facilities, as well as social, educational, economic and livelihood projects. Listed programmes include Maji, which aims to provide drinking water in Pawaga, and MAMA MZAZI, a maternity and mobile-clinic initiative. Other projects have supported Maasai children’s education and honey production in Nanyuki.

Run by members and volunteers, ADMISS organises its work through volunteer groups and an elected board whose directors serve without compensation. The association invites people to contribute through donations, volunteering and support for its projects, helping communities access essentials such as healthcare, food and education.
