Adolescencia Libre de Móviles (ALM) is a family-led social movement in Spain promoting responsible, regulated and safe technology use among children and teenagers. Originating in Poblenou, Barcelona, it has grown into a network of more than 30,000 families and professionals from health, education and technology. Its members share a goal: helping children enjoy a healthy, thoughtful and independent childhood and adolescence, while encouraging families to reconsider when young people receive their first smartphone.

ALM advocates a social pact to delay the first smartphone until age 16 and supports safer, more considered technology use for children who already have one. The movement brings together local and international groups, families, educators and specialists, and encourages collaboration among households and schools.

Through its website, ALM provides practical resources, including family guidance, school letters, presentations, printable campaign materials, reports and information on scientific evidence about screens and young people. It also shares news, expert talks and conferences addressing digital habits, education, wellbeing and potential risks associated with early or excessive smartphone use.
