ADRA Uruguay is a philanthropic organization dedicated to improving the living conditions of the most vulnerable people in our society. In collaboration with the International Organization for Migration (IOM), they have provided assistance to one in six people from Venezuela who have migrated to Uruguay. Through an insightful interview with Lucila Pizzarulli, the Acting Head of Office of IOM Uruguay, we learn about the close collaboration between ADRA and IOM in supporting migrants in Uruguay.

With over 108,000 migrants in the country, including approximately 30,000 from Venezuela, ADRA and IOM work together to meet the basic needs of migrants upon their arrival. This partnership is part of a larger platform involving various institutions, allowing for a comprehensive approach to addressing the needs of migrants and promoting their autonomy. The collaboration also benefits from the emergence of civil society organizations within migrant communities, further enriching the values of inclusivity and human rights.
