Advita is a nonprofit association in Lisbon, Portugal, recognized by the Ministry of Labour, Solidarity and Social Security as a Private Institution of Social Solidarity. Its mission is to help caregivers provide the best possible care and to affirm the value of their work. The association supports caregivers through freely accessible educational materials, including films and manuals on essential caregiving skills. These resources are designed to inform and assist people who care for others, and are available digitally.

Advita also offers the Rhapsody educational and interactive programme for caregivers of people with young-onset dementia, aged 45 to 64. Its initiatives include a caregiver support protocol developed with Lisbon City Council and the Lisbon School of Nursing. The organisation shares information about continuing and palliative care, caregiver resources and its activities, and promotes recognition of caregivers’ contribution in Portugal. Individuals can support Advita by donating or allocating 0.5% of their Portuguese personal income tax to the association, helping sustain caregiver support and disease prevention efforts.
