AEC, the Association Européenne des Conservatoires, Académies de Musique et Musikhochschulen, is a voluntary coalition that represents Higher Music Education Institutions (HMEIs) across Europe and beyond. As the leading voice for Higher Music Education in Europe, AEC is a powerful advocate for its member institutions. AEC is structured through its Council, General Assembly, Office Team, and Working Groups.

The organization enjoys a range of formal and informal cooperation arrangements with several national, European, and international organizations. The AEC offers a variety of services to its members, including counselling visits, a vacancy platform, coordination of institutional networks, and support for projects. They also provide the EASY Project, an online application system for mobility among higher education, as well as other services for International Relations Coordinators (IRCs) and support for students.
