Founded in 1993, AECI (Association of Accounting Firms of Itu and Region) is a nonprofit organization representing accounting service businesses in Itu, Salto, and Cabreúva, in the state of São Paulo, Brazil. Its members include university-trained accountants and accounting technicians registered with the Regional Accounting Council (CRC). AECI works to defend and support the interests of local accounting firms, encourage the exchange of knowledge and experience, and represent the profession before public authorities.
It also promotes study of issues affecting the sector and provides lectures and seminars on accounting and tax legislation. The association establishes minimum fee guidelines for accounting service businesses and supports connections among its members and other associations. Through its website, AECI introduces the accounting firms in its membership, with contact details and links where available, and shares news, events, and information about becoming a member.
It also organizes monthly member meetings and maintains a historical record of its leadership. AECI serves as a regional forum for professional development, cooperation, and representation within the accounting community
