AEDEAN

AEDEAN, or the Asociación Española de Estudios Anglo-Norteamericanos, is a prominent academic organization founded in Seville in 1976. With a membership of around 1,200—including university professors, lecturers, and graduate students—AEDEAN is dedicated to advancing the study and research of English-language culture, literature, linguistics, and critical theory in Spain. The association serves as a platform for scholars with diverse interests, covering areas such as historical and applied linguistics, feminist and gender studies, film studies, and comparative literature.

AEDEAN organizes annual conferences that foster academic collaboration and knowledge exchange, with its most recent conference held at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and the next set for Sevilla.
