The Agricultural Industry Electronics Foundation (AEF), established on October 28, 2008, is an independent organization dedicated to enhancing the compatibility of electronic components in agricultural machinery. Comprising eight core manufacturers and three associations, along with over 200 general members, AEF works collaboratively to implement international electronic standards that facilitate cross-manufacturer interoperability.

AEF's primary goal is to create transparency in compatibility issues, benefiting farming customers by simplifying operations and providing economic advantages. The foundation promotes technological advancements through various initiatives, including the AEF ISOBUS Database and a suite of training resources like Web Based Training and conformance tests.

AEF hosts events such as Plugfests and Tech Weeks, where industry stakeholders can exchange knowledge and foster innovation. By prioritizing compatibility and transparency, AEF positions itself as a vital player in the agricultural equipment sector, offering essential resources and support for manufacturers and farmers alike.
