Welcome to AEFA, the Official Website of the Spanish Association of Dehydrated Alfalfa Manufacturers. AEFA is the leading organization representing the interests of the dehydrated alfalfa industry in Spain. With 58 associated companies, AEFA accounts for approximately 90% of the country's production.

Since its establishment in 1984, AEFA has become the largest industrial organization in the European dehydrated forage sector. Our primary focus is the production of dehydrated alfalfa bales, pellets, and cubes for animal feed. Our high-quality products have gained recognition both domestically and internationally.

In fact, in the 2020/2021 campaign, three-quarters of the Spanish production were exported to the global market. The cultivation of alfalfa primarily takes place in irrigated areas, with a significant presence in the Ebro Valley and Castilla León. This sector generates around 4,000 jobs, supporting rural population settlements.
