Aegis Trust is an international charity working to prevent genocide, crimes against humanity and mass atrocities. Its mission is grounded in the belief that no one should be persecuted or killed because of their identity. The organisation focuses on education, survivor support and locally led peacebuilding to help challenge hatred, strengthen understanding and protect communities at risk.

Aegis delivers peace education and activities, including the Aegis Challenge, and supports initiatives such as the Rwanda Peace Partnership. In Rwanda, it operates the Kigali Genocide Memorial and Genocide Archive Rwanda, helping preserve the history of the Genocide Against the Tutsi and support learning. Its work also includes rebuilding lives by listening to survivors and helping them recover, as well as policy and advocacy efforts to address risks of mass atrocities. Through partnerships and programmes in countries including the Central African Republic, Kenya, South Sudan and Sudan, Aegis works with local communities and organisations. Supporters can contribute by donating, fundraising, visiting the memorial or staying at its accommodation.
