About Association of European Jewish Museums
The European Association of Jewish Museums (AEJM) is dedicated to fostering networking and collaboration among Jewish museums across Europe. By providing a critical platform for knowledge exchange, AEJM emphasizes the importance of collective learning and public engagement. The organization hosts a variety of events, including the upcoming NEMO European Museum Conference in November 2024, which will address the pressing issue of polarization within the museum community.
AEJM offers a range of services to its members, including updates on job opportunities, highlights of significant exhibitions, and professional development resources. Recent notable exhibitions include Capturing the Ghetto, showcasing artistic portrayals from the Łódź Ghetto and The Third Generation, focusing on Holocaust memory. Through these initiatives, AEJM actively contributes to preserving Jewish heritage and promoting cultural discourse, ensuring that the stories and experiences of Jewish communities are shared and remembered.
Whether through conferences, exhibitions, or collaborative projects, AEJM continuously works to enhance the visibility and relevance of Jewish museums in today’s society
