AELNL

The Academia Española de Logopedia para Neonatos y Lactantes (AELNL) is a professional academy focused on advanced speech and language therapy practice in neonatal and pediatric feeding. It supports clinicians who work with babies and families through evidence-informed education, clinical guidance, and resources designed to encourage responsible decision-making and high standards of care.

Its training includes courses on assessing infant sucking and on neonatal and pediatric ventilation and airway care, as well as advanced clinical certifications for work with babies aged 0–6 months and older infants. AELNL also offers a clinical membership where professionals can discuss real cases, compare perspectives, and receive ongoing support in navigating complex practice. Its clinical resources and official documentation aim to strengthen everyday work, support clear communication, and set ethical, curricular, and clinical foundations.

The academy also contributes to professional visibility through participation in events related to maternity, lactation, and childhood. Since 2019, more than 1,200 speech therapists have provided anonymous feedback on its training, with an overall average rating of 4.8 out of 5.
