About AE PDX
AEPDX, established in 2009, is Portland's leading community dedicated to storytelling through design and animation. This vibrant organization serves as a hub for designers, illustrators, animators, filmmakers, and VFX artists, facilitating the exchange of expertise and fostering collaboration among creatives. AEPDX hosts a variety of events, including in-person and online gatherings featuring guest speakers, panel discussions, and project breakdowns, covering a wide array of industry insights and animation techniques. Participants can learn about popular software such as After Effects, Cinema 4D, and Blender, among others.
With an emphasis on diversity and inclusion, AEPDX aims to create a supportive environment enriched by various perspectives and experience levels. The organization also provides local artists with essential resources like continuing education, networking opportunities, and platforms to showcase their work.
