AEREL APS is a recreational association founded in 2008 by a group of young people from Pavia who wanted to create a local meeting place for people interested in games and shared play. Based in Pavia, the association brings together members and visitors through a varied program of tabletop activities, including board games, tabletop and live-action role-playing games, and miniature gaming. Its offerings also include social game nights, events, and other activities that celebrate the wider gaming community.
AEREL maintains a games catalogue and shares news, event information, videos, and an annual calendar to help people discover ways to take part. Membership is available through its annual enrollment campaign, with information provided to prospective members on request. The association also supports learning about the value and dynamics of board games: in collaboration with CSI Comitato di Pavia and Casa del Giovane, it has publicized a Level 1 Game Operator course in Pavia
