Aero Clear

Aero Clear is an Australian aviation maintenance business that has operated since 1989, specialising in the repair and refurbishment of aircraft windows. Based at Armidale Airport, the company serves aircraft operators with work completed at its facility or on site, helping customers avoid the cost of replacement; refurbishment can save up to 90% compared with new windows.

Its services cover windows for a wide range of pressurised and unpressurised aircraft, including Boeing, Airbus, Dash 8, ATR, Saab 340, King Air and Beechcraft 1900 models. Aero Clear also repairs and restores aircraft canopies, including helicopter canopies, as well as landing-light and wing-tip lenses.

The company uses its Optics Plus diamond milling process to restore crazed windows and carries out repairs in accordance with aircraft manufacturers’ guidelines. All refurbished windows undergo ultrasonic testing before release to service. Aero Clear is CASA Part 145 approved, certificate 145.0170, and offers a two-day turnaround for in-house repairs when required. On-wing repairs are available when removal and resealing are not practical.
