ACAM Aéroclub Aix Marseille

ACAM, the Aix-Marseille aeroclub based at Aix-les-Milles in Provence, has supported recreational aviation since its founding in 1945. A non-profit association, it welcomes both aspiring and experienced pilots, offering access to light aviation in a friendly, safety-focused environment. Its flight school provides pilot training, including LAPL and PPL courses, while introductory lessons let newcomers try the controls alongside an instructor. Visitors can also book 30-minute discovery flights for one to three people, including scenic routes over Sainte-Victoire and the surrounding area.

Members can take part in a varied programme of flying activities, including cross-country trips, night flying, precision rally flying and mountain-flying outings. The club supports night-flight qualification through operations at Avignon, and offers mountain-flying practice to help pilots understand its specific challenges. ACAM also provides access to an aircraft for precision-flying competitions and works with the Aérobatic Club de la Méditerranée to arrange instructional recovery flights in a CAP 10. With its own maintained and renewed aircraft fleet, pilot guidance and youth programmes, ACAM combines training, adventure and community.
