Aero Club Heemskerk

Aero Club Heemskerk is a model aviation club for people interested in building and flying radio-controlled aircraft. Based in the Heemskerk area, the association welcomes enthusiasts of different ages and brings members together around a shared hobby and a friendly club community. Its activities combine model construction with practical flying, supported by experienced building supervisors, flight instructors and examiners.

Members can use the club’s building facilities for construction evenings and fly at the association’s own grass airfield, which covers more than 7,500 square metres and is located a few kilometres from the clubhouse in the Beverwijk polder. The range of aircraft flown includes fuel-powered and electric aeroplanes, gliders with or without motors, helicopters and multicopters. The club maintains its flying site and provides facilities such as a charging station for members’ batteries. It also shares information about club activities, events, flight conditions and association news through its website and Facebook page.
