Aerofro

Aerofro is an African aerospace company developing next-generation airships to move people, goods, technology and critical resources beyond the reach or limits of conventional infrastructure. Its research, development and production base is in Jalingo, Taraba State, Nigeria, where the company aims to build aerospace capability through regional engineering, manufacturing and research partnerships.

Logistics is Aerofro’s first intended commercial application. Its airships are being designed to carry cargo point to point, including agricultural products, medical supplies, construction materials, industrial equipment and humanitarian goods, to locations that may lack roads, ports or runways. Modular cargo pods and heavy-lift configurations are under development; these are concepts, not currently operating services.

Aerofro is also exploring how the same platform could support missions in areas such as emergency response, security, agriculture, energy, connectivity, infrastructure and research. Its longer-term vision is a distributed aerial network linking African cities, industrial centers, ports, agricultural regions and remote communities, with possible intercontinental connections a subject of future study.
