Aeroklub Mielecki im. Braci Działowskich is an aviation organization based at Mielec Airport in Poland. It introduces people to flying through introductory glider flights with experienced instructors, and offers glider training for aspiring pilots. Training includes theoretical and practical instruction, solo flights, advanced skills such as thermal flying and navigation, and preparation for the state theory and practical examinations. The club says basic training can begin at age 14 and may be completed in a weekend format over several weeks. After earning a glider pilot licence, graduates can pursue recreational flying, further skill development, aviation work, or competitive sport.
The organization also provides parachuting training and instructor training for glider pilots. Its services include aircraft maintenance and continuing airworthiness management, as well as a weather station. Maintenance work covers inspections, repairs, paintwork, cable replacements, aircraft weighing, nondestructive testing, and replacement of hooks and safety belts, within its approved scope. Aeroklub Mielecki shares aviation news and organizes educational activities, connecting local people with flight training, aircraft, and aviation culture.
