Aeroplane Jelly is an iconic Australian brand, cherished for its nostalgic appeal and delightful flavors since 1927. Founded by tram driver Bert Appleroth, who initially created jelly crystals in his bathtub, Aeroplane Jelly quickly transformed into a household name. It became Australia’s largest family-owned food manufacturer before being acquired by McCormick Foods in 1994. Today, over twenty million packets of this famous jelly are consumed annually across the country.
Remaining true to its roots, Aeroplane Jelly still offers its beloved Original flavor, while expanding its range to include Jelly Lite, Naturals, Ready to Eat options, and a variety of Desserts. The brand is not just about jelly; it carries a rich history filled with memorable moments, including Bert's creative marketing stunts and the creation of the beloved character, “Bertie the Aeroplane.” With each delicious bite, Aeroplane Jelly continues to hold a special place in the hearts of Australians, delivering joy for generations.
