AeroPrinceton

AeroPrinceton is a New Jersey nonprofit corporation focused on giving aspiring engineers practical experience in aviation. The organization brings students together to design, build, and fly functional, FAA-approved airplanes, complementing academic theory with hands-on work in skills such as riveting, wiring, and metalwork. Its projects also help students develop strategic thinking, design capability, and problem-solving skills.

AeroPrinceton’s current work includes a Zenith CH 750, with its tail assembly complete and roughly one-third of the airframe built, as well as an RC Aircraft Division whose first build is complete. The division’s next phase focuses on autonomous flight systems and precision engineering. The organization reports more than 100 active members, over 200 build hours, and more than 1,200 flight hours.

Through membership, project participation, and donations, supporters can help students gain experience building and operating aircraft. AeroPrinceton also aims to expand to other universities and launch a transcontinental collegiate air race featuring student-built aircraft. AeroPrinceton is not affiliated with Princeton University.
