Royal Aeronautical Society NZ Division

The Royal Aeronautical Society New Zealand Division (RAeSNZ) is the New Zealand regional division of the Royal Aeronautical Society. It is a multidisciplinary organisation dedicated to advancing the country’s aviation and aerospace community, bringing together people across the sector, including industry and academic participants.

RAeSNZ supports professional development through membership options, information on professional registration, and a network of branches in Auckland, Bay of Plenty, Blenheim, Canterbury, Hamilton, Palmerston North, and Wellington. Its programme includes branch meetings, lectures, symposia, and other events that encourage discussion of aviation and aerospace issues. Topics featured include uncrewed aircraft, aerospace innovation, industry growth, defence capability, and developing a skilled future workforce.

The Division also recognises contributions to aviation and aerospace through awards, with nominations administered annually by New Zealand Aeronautical Trusts Ltd. Its website provides information about the organisation’s objectives, governance and history, along with event listings, news, resources, and contact details. Through these activities and services, RAeSNZ connects members and supports the continued development of the aerospace sector in New Zealand.
