About Esports Australia
Established in April 2013, the Australian Esports Association (AESA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the development and promotion of esports in Australia. With a clear vision for national recognition, the AESA aims to bring integrity and credibility to the industry. As a member of the International Esports Federation (IeSF), the AESA represents Australia on a global scale and actively works towards SportAccord membership.
Additionally, the AESA collaborates with the International University Sports Federation (FISU) to foster global university cooperation in esports. The AESA supports both elite athletes and community participants, offering social and elite pathways for players, coaches, officials, and administrators. Their goals include the advancement of esports in Australia, the promotion of industry best practices, and the unification of all esports stakeholders.
With a dedicated board, led by founding president Darren Kwan, the AESA has over 16 years of experience in the esports industry and a wide-reaching network of international connections
