About AESED
Revista Española de Drogodependencias (RED) is a Spanish scientific journal published by the Asociación Española de Estudio en Drogodependencias (AESED). Established in 1976, it focuses on research and professional knowledge concerning drugs, substance use disorders and other addictive behaviours. Its readership includes health professionals, educators, social workers, legal specialists, researchers and others interested in addiction.
The journal publishes original research, editorials, short papers, clinical cases, reports and book reviews, bringing together work from different disciplines and countries. Authors may submit manuscripts in Spanish or English. RED provides open access to its articles, allowing readers to access and share content without charge, and it does not charge authors article processing fees. The publication also offers journal issues, author guidance, information about its editorial committees and news related to addiction research and practice. Its scientific and editorial quality has been recognised through renewal of Spain’s FECYT Quality Seal, alongside recognition for good editorial practices in gender equality.
