About Aetna
Aetna is a trusted brand that has been providing health plans for the Federal Employees Health Benefits (FEHB) program since 1959. They are known for their extensive experience and are proud to bring their expertise to the Postal Service Health Benefits (PSHB) program starting in 2025. The PSHB program is a new benefits program administered by the Office of Personnel Management (OPM).
It provides health insurance to eligible Postal Service employees, annuitants, and their eligible family members. Currently, Postal Service employees, annuitants, and eligible family members will continue to participate in the FEHB program for the 2023 and 2024 plan years. Aetna offers a range of plans that cater to different needs, including plans designed for retirees with Medicare Parts A and B.
These plans come with features to help save money, such as $0 deductibles and coinsurance, up to $100 a month for each eligible member to help lower the cost of Part B premiums, low-cost plans, and a large national network with over 1. 2 million healthcare professionals, 700,000 primary care physicians (PCPs), and specialists, and more than 5,700 hospitals. Referrals are not needed to see a specialist, and MinuteClinic locations offer convenient and reliable care for low or no cost.
Additionally, Aetna provides extra programs to help members stay healthy, offering gym memberships, weight-loss programs, vision products and services, and access to chiropractic care, acupuncture, massage therapy, and more. Online tools are also available to find doctors, hospitals, or walk-in clinics, create personal health records, review claims, compare costs, manage prescriptions, and connect with expert teams through one-on-one consultations or webinars. Aetna prioritizes customer satisfaction and strives to provide quality care and support to its members
