The Association of Flight Attendants-CWA is a union representing flight attendants in the airline industry. Under the PSP, airlines receive financial assistance equivalent to 70% of their payroll, with the condition that the funds are used for worker pay and benefits and that there are no furloughs or separations.

The program also includes provisions to ensure continued service and infrastructure support. The PSP has received additional funding and support from major carriers, ensuring job protections and the recall of furloughed flight attendants. The extension is effective for a four-month period, from December 1, 2020, to March 31, 2021.

While the program provides emergency relief, more assistance will be needed in the future. The union is committed to working towards further extensions and supporting vaccination efforts to contain the virus. Contractual recall procedures will remain in place, with pay and benefits restored for all aviation workers and no cuts to hourly rates.
