Afafanto

Leah’s Dream is an organization dedicated to supporting education and community development for young women in Northern Ghana. Guided by the values of education, opportunity, and community, it provides financial assistance and mentoring to help girls continue their studies and prepare for the future. Its Afafanto Scholarship supports young women pursuing education beyond junior high school, while Afafanto Girls’ Clubs offer learning and encouragement as girls consider their next steps.

The Alumna Program builds connections, mentorship, and opportunities for former participants to give back. Bridge Training develops computer skills, confidence, and practical preparation for life beyond school. Beyond education, Leah’s Dream supports women producing shea butter through a cooperative and maintains a longstanding connection with the community of Larabanga, including its women and schools.

The organization’s work is inspired by Leah, whose memory informs its commitment to helping girls build their identities and possibilities. Leah’s Dream also shares community stories and updates, invites applications, and welcomes donations and newsletter subscribers to support its mission
