AFASyN

AFASyN (Asociación Fueguina de Actividades Subacuáticas y Náuticas) is a nautical and underwater activities club based in Ushuaia, Tierra del Fuego, Argentina. Founded to bring together young people interested in water sports, it supports participation and skills development across a broad range of maritime activities. Its offerings include sailing instruction through Optimist, Laser, and Pampero programs, as well as Grumete, Timonel, and Conductor Náutico courses.

Members and learners can also take introductory kayak and stand-up paddleboard training, and scuba-diving courses led by certified divers. The club organizes regattas and related activities, including sailing and canoeing events. AFASyN’s facilities and services include a marina with moorings and access to fuel, water, and electricity; a Travel Lift for hauling boats ashore for cleaning or repairs; kayak and canoe storage; land-based lockers and storage rooms; and a shared event hall with barbecue facilities.

The club also provides members access to the Ángel B common-use space, supporting an active community centered on sailing, rowing, diving, and boating
