AFC Scholarship

AFC Scholarship Foundation, Inc., also known as Alternatives for Crime Scholarship Foundation, is a nonprofit agency with more than 30 years of experience supporting youth. Since its founding in 1990, the organization says it has impacted thousands of lives nationwide. Its mission is to empower aspiring young people to become successful adults and provide alternative solutions for achieving educational, social, and career goals.

AFC delivers its work through Calling Card for Success, an intensive after-school program combining online education, tutoring, mentoring, and professional guidance. The program uses a holistic, blended curriculum to help participants build confidence, develop life skills, make positive choices, and pursue their ambitions. Its four areas include educational enrichment, career development, life-skills exposure, and Dare 2B Different.

The foundation also offers alternative education solutions and invites students to sign up to learn about its services. AFC reports a 30% increase in participants’ literacy and math proficiency, along with strong classroom attendance and ongoing participation by students and families.
