AFC Scholarship Fund is a scholarship network focused on expanding educational opportunities for K–12 students. As a qualified Scholarship Granting Organization, it receives charitable contributions and awards scholarships to students, helping families access education options that might otherwise be out of reach. Its funds include opportunities supporting American students, students with special needs, military families, skilled-trades education, and Catholic, Christian, and Jewish schools.
The organization explains how the Education Freedom Tax Credit (EFTC) is expected to work beginning January 1, 2027. Eligible donors who contribute to a qualified SGO may claim a dollar-for-dollar federal tax credit of up to $1,700 for individuals or $3,400 for married couples filing jointly, subject to the program’s requirements. Scholarship funds may help with private or faith-based school tuition, tutoring, special-education services and therapies, books, technology, learning materials, dual enrollment, and AP exams.
AFC Scholarship Fund also provides information and updates about school choice and the EFTC, including a brief eligibility check and estimated-credit tool.
