About AFECO
AFECO is a European Union-funded project focused on empowering older adults to make their own living environments more affordable, age-friendly and environmentally responsible. Its work brings together collaboration, learning and practical information to help older people explore solutions suited to their homes and everyday lives. The AFECO website provides information about the project and its partners, along with a virtual library and a Learning Place for visitors seeking resources.
It also shares project news, updates and materials in several languages, including English, Portuguese, German, Greek, Italian, Dutch and Polish. AFECO’s activities included disseminating project results and presenting its work at the Portuguese Conference on Innovation and Sustainability in Porto in May 2025. The project officially concluded on May 31, with its final newsletter highlighting recent activities and outcomes.
