AFEW International is a Dutch non-governmental humanitarian public health organization that strives to provide support and raise awareness about the rights and health access of underserved populations in the Eastern Europe and Central Asia (EECA) region. Since 2001, AFEW International has been working to break down barriers that prevent individuals in this region from accessing essential health, justice, and social services. Underserved communities face significant challenges in obtaining the care they need, particularly in relation to diseases such as HIV, TB, and HCV.

AFEW International addresses these challenges by advocating for human rights, engaging communities in participatory approaches, countering stigma, developing health services, and promoting healthy behaviors. The organization also serves as a platform for dialogue between governments, civil society, scientists, and healthcare providers, both at the regional and global level. With four members operating in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, the Netherlands, and Ukraine, the AFEW Partnership is dedicated to improving the well-being of communities in this region
