Affirmation & Critique is a journal of Christian thought published by Living Stream Ministry. It encourages readers to reconsider important aspects of Christian belief and practice through the biblical concept of God’s economy: God’s dispensing of Himself and all that He has into humanity. The journal affirms what it regards as essential and profound biblical truths while responsibly examining traditional teachings in light of this perspective. Its editorial approach is guided by the understanding that one divine economy runs throughout the Bible, centered on God dispensing Himself through the Trinity into His elect.
The journal publishes themed issues featuring articles on biblical and theological subjects. Its 2026 issue, for example, explores eternal life through topics including the biblical line of life, salvation in God’s life, the practical experience of eternal life in Romans 5–8, and the church. Affirmation & Critique is published annually in April, with print subscriptions and individual issues available, as well as digital editions through ebook vendors.
