Affirming YOUth

Affirming Youth Foundation, Inc. (AYF) is a nonprofit organization founded in 2011 that serves children, adolescents, families, and communities in Liberty City and across Miami-Dade County, Florida. Its mission is to improve social and emotional outcomes for youth and families through wellness support, coordinated services, and trauma-informed care.

AYF offers programming that engages young people and their families in evidence-based, culturally responsive assessment and treatment for traumatic stress and related mental health symptoms. Its initiatives include Project Aces, Affirming YOUth, Project SEEDS–HEALS, the SAVE Promise Club, and Families and Schools Together (FAST). The organization also provides resources, intake information, and opportunities for community collaboration.

AYF describes its work as focused on building strong relationships and supporting children, adolescents, families, and communities. Its behavioral health services are accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities International (CARF). Based in Miami, the foundation works with partners and supporters to expand access to supportive, coordinated care and promote youth and family well-being
