Affordable Skies

Affordable Skies is a national nonprofit organization working to ensure that travelers’ experiences and perspectives help shape the future of aviation. It brings together two complementary organizations: the Affordable Skies Foundation, a 501(c)(3) focused on traveler education and research, and the Affordable Skies Coalition, a 501(c)(4) dedicated to advocacy and aviation policy. Together, they champion the interests of the traveling public and promote air travel that remains accessible to everyday travelers.

The organization conducts research, shares information about airline rules and passenger rights, and explains how regulations and market conditions can affect fares, service, and travel choices. It also advocates for policies that support safety, consumer protections, meaningful competition, and accountability in aviation decision-making. Travelers can engage through membership, events, ambassador activities, surveys, and by sharing their travel stories. Supporters also gain access to resources and updates intended to help them make informed choices and navigate air travel. Affordable Skies aims to bring traveler voices into discussions with airlines, airports, government leaders, and policymakers, placing the needs of passengers at the center of aviation’s future.
