AFOS Stiftung

AFOS Foundation for Entrepreneurial Development Cooperation is a nonprofit foundation that promotes entrepreneurial responsibility for a sustainable future. Working across six countries on three continents, it supports initiatives that strengthen skills, livelihoods, and local economic development. Since 2020, its projects have provided more than 90,000 people with employment-oriented training and helped establish or strengthen over 1,000 local businesses and associations. Since 2010, the foundation has invested more than €30 million in sustainable self-help projects.

AFOS works with partners in countries including Colombia, Ghana, Nigeria, the Philippines, and Zimbabwe. Its initiatives include vocational and dual training, workforce development, and support for local enterprises. Current projects include Alianza para la Formación 2 in Colombia, which links practical vocational education in the textile and clothing sector with inclusion, and DigiVibe in Ghana. The foundation also develops education and training partnerships and has supported projects in areas such as sustainable fisheries. Based in Cologne, Germany, AFOS shares project updates and invites individuals and organizations to contribute to its work.
