American Farmers & Ranchers (AFR) Cooperative is an Oklahoma organization representing farmers, ranchers, and rural residents, with a history spanning more than 115 years. Its membership includes people actively involved in agricultural production as well as non-farmers who support AFR’s principles. Members can help shape organizational policy and contribute to advocacy with Congress, the Oklahoma Legislature, and state and federal agencies.
AFR works to protect, represent, and insure Oklahoma’s agricultural community and rural citizens. Its full-time government relations staff monitor issues affecting agriculture and rural communities, while education and leadership programs support member engagement and future generations. The AFR Youth Program helps develop young leaders, and its adult program encourages connection and participation among members. The organization also offers member resources and benefits, county and local involvement, and insurance services through AFR Insurance. Through programs, advocacy, cooperation, and education, AFR supports Oklahoma farmers, ranchers, and the wider rural population. It welcomes individuals and families who want to participate in its work and advance the interests of agriculture in the state.
