About Mastercard Foundation Africa Growth Fund
The Mastercard Foundation Africa Growth Fund is a brand with a mission to bridge the financing and support gap in the impact investing sector in Africa. With a focus on sub-Saharan Africa, their goal is to elevate and diversify African-owned and African-led Investment Vehicles that fund growth-oriented small- and medium-sized enterprises. By doing so, they aim to create employment opportunities, especially for youth and young women.
Their vision is to contribute significantly to shaping the engagement of the African impact investing ecosystem and to generate additional work opportunities in sub-Saharan Africa. The Fund's Investment Committee consists of experienced financial and investment experts who select and monitor the performance of Investment Vehicles included in the Fund. As an initiative of the Mastercard Foundation, the Fund works in collaboration with various partners to achieve its objectives
