About African 99s
The African Section of the Ninety Nines International Organisation of Women Pilots is a dynamic chapter dedicated to empowering and educating women and youth in aviation. As the oldest organization of women pilots, with over 6,000 members from 44 countries, the African Section aims to increase gender inclusion in the aviation industry. Through their grassroots STEM project, Girls Wings For Africa (GWFA), the African Section 99s inspires future generations to explore aviation.
Their interactive website features an interactive map that showcases the members from various countries in the world, including Botswana, Chad, Cote D'Ivoire, Egypt, and more. With just 6% of pilots being women in 2021, the African Section 99s play a crucial role in supporting and encouraging female pilots. They also promote aviation through education, making significant strides towards closing the gender gap in aviation.
Join the African Section 99s and be part of the change, as they continue to encourage, empower, and educate women and youth in the field of aviation
