About AGH
African Grassroot Hoops is a development organization that aims to grow leaders by providing opportunities through basketball. Established in November 2014, we are a non-profit company dedicated to bringing basketball to Africa, starting with Cape Town and surrounding areas. Our mission is to empower young individuals by using basketball as a symbol of hope and empowerment.
We host events such as fundraising clinics, tournaments, and partnerships with other non-profits to create a platform for young boys and girls to showcase their talents and leadership qualities. By developing structured programs and curriculum, we aim to upskill our future leaders while creating a safe and enjoyable environment. Our team includes passionate individuals, like Nelia Harding and Dotan Lubezky, who believe in the transformative power of sports in shaping a purpose-driven life.
